What we do at Super Science Sampler!

Children get to explore various branches of applied science, through project based learning and experimentation. Every day brings something new!

“If your child likes science, this is the program for you!” -Jess, mom

Our week together will be divided into these modules:

Drone clinic & professional gyroscope demonstration
Microscope Lab
Simple machines
Engineering with Leonardo da Vinci
Experimentation with Galileo Galilei

Super Science Sampler is geared towards rising 3d through 5th grade children. All our activities are designed to expand your child’s knowledge and skills, all while having fun and making new friends.

Many of the modules have an outdoor component, for which the Regis College campus is well suited. Majestic open spaces, mature trees and beautiful landscaping provide the perfect setting. Mid-morning and afternoon we take a twenty minute recess and get outside for some good ol’ fashion play time.

“Edge on Science takes science off the page and puts it into the hands of your child” -Rondalyn Whitney, mom

“I’m amazed at how eager my 10 year old daughter was to go each morning and at what she was able to accomplish during her week.” -Goeffrey Clark, dad

Children will get to present and share their findings. They will hone their ability to observe, to wonder, to ask questions. Games, challenges and the freedom to explore, add to the fun! At the end of the week, we will stage a mini science fair.

Why choose the EOS Super Science Sampler?

In two words? Insatiable curiosity. It just comes natural to a young child. And instructor Lindsay Hirt, knows how to nurture it, with activities that allow the freedom to try things out and have fun! Her approach to guiding children, let’s them own the science. In fact, this is one of the tenets of self-determination theory in education, as taught by Professor Christopher Niemiec, at the University of Rochester.

Every day brings something new which helps in engaging your young one. And the activities are active. Inside or outside we are often on our feet. Doing. Sharing. Exploring. Tinkering. Building. Experimenting. Making new friends and having fun!
